Black and White Boston Massacre
On March 5, 1770, a riot broke out in front of the Customs House in Boston. A large crowd armed with clubs and sticks poured through the passage leading to the Customs House, where Private Hugh White was the sentry on duty. The rest is history! This copperplate print was printed at The Printing Office of Edes and Gill by Master Printer Gary Gregory. The copperplate used to produce this print is an exact replica of the original Paul Revere copperplate. Gary Gregory was allowed to scan the original Revere copperplate which is kept and preserved at the Massachusetts Archives.
